Are You Getting Texts About UnPaid Tolls?

Drivers across Washington State are receiving text messages claiming they owe money for unpaid tolls, but officials warn it’s a scam to steal personal information.
These messages include a link to a “website” that looks like an official toll payment portal. These fake texts claim that the person has an outstanding toll balance and must pay immediately to avoid unnecessary fines. State transportation officials say toll agencies do not notify drivers by text, but are sent through the mail.
Verify on the state’s official toll payment website to avoid the scam. Type in your state’s designated URL and it should send you straight to the payment portal.
